Terms of Service

1. Who we are

GetCostify ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Monteca Group OÜ, a company registered in Estonia ("the Company"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GetCostify website and application at getcostify.app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

GetCostify is a cost and margin calculation tool for food and beverage businesses. It lets you record ingredient prices, build recipes ("tech cards"), and calculate cost, margin, markup and food/beverage cost percentages.

The Free plan runs primarily in your browser; recipe and ingredient data is stored on your device unless you create an account to sync it. The PRO plan is a paid monthly subscription that removes free-plan limits and unlocks additional features described on our pricing page.

GetCostify is a calculation tool, not an accounting, tax, or financial advisory service. You are responsible for verifying that the figures it produces are accurate and suitable for your business and for any pricing, accounting or tax decisions you make based on them.

3. Accounts

You do not need an account to use the Free plan locally. Creating an account (to sync data across devices or subscribe to PRO) requires a valid email address. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and payments

PRO is billed in advance on the billing cycle you choose — monthly or annually — and renews automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe, which also acts as merchant of record for these transactions and handles applicable sales tax/VAT. We never receive or store your card details.

You can cancel your subscription at any time; your PRO access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, and it will not renew afterward. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods.

We may change PRO pricing going forward; if we do, we'll give existing subscribers reasonable advance notice before it applies to their next renewal.

5. Free-plan data storage

If you use GetCostify without an account, your data is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is not backed up by us, and you're responsible for keeping it — clearing your browser data, switching devices, or using private/incognito mode can permanently delete it. Sign in to sync your data to the cloud if you want it backed up and available across devices.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service; circumvent plan limits or payment; or share your account access with others in a way that avoids paying for the plan your usage requires.

7. Your content, our software

You retain all rights to the ingredient, recipe and pricing data you enter into GetCostify. We claim no ownership over it and only process it to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. The GetCostify software, design, and brand remain the property of the Company.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits or business losses — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including pricing decisions made based on its calculations. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Estonian courts, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
